Dollface, a poem by Maisie O’Brien
Born in Dublin Ireland to Jim and TC Forrest.
A little girl who loved to sing, lining up the children to hear her mighty chorus.
The 3rd of 5 sisters, she loved her family dearly.
Near or far it didn't matter they loved each other so sincerely.
Off to America she went pursuing her career her skills were endless, everything she did top tier.
She moved to Dallas Texas, where she fell in love with Jesus.
Beautiful friends who showed her God's goodness, with whom she loved to pieces.
Shed been changed forever and would tell all she met along the way she learned how to love without conditions, for she was loved by Him that way.
But she wanted someone of her own, a special guy to love her.
Requirements were someone only God thought worthy of ber.
She was a force and someone not just anyone could handle.
In walks Grady O'Brien, to whom no man held a candle.
Despite his ponytail and many bumper stickers his midwestern kindness caused a spark, God said be was the one, a man after His own heart.
They made a life together rarely leaving each others side.
My dad, our example of how to love your bride.
My brothers and I had the greatest mom ever.
It didn't matter where we lived as long as we were together.
Not many families can say they spent every night around the table but mom knew what was important: laughter, love, and great meals, for that I'm forever grateful.
Our family grew and grew two new daughters, what a gift.
Her older boys loved and cared for she'd always dreamed of this.
And then came the grandkids, what joy that they all bring.
Time spent in the garden with them her very favorite thing.
Walks around the block going right, right, right.
Little shoes by the door always a favorite sight.
Cuddling on the couch and making up stories of dragons and frogs, they never were boring.
Strong strong strong and fully persuaded this beautiful lady, who will always be celebrated.
She was so significant it was clear from the start, Yvonne O'Brien, the girl who captured all of our hearts.
