We start our year the first week in September and our year ends mid May. The college has 3 terms: Autumn, Winter and Spring. Please check out our academic calendar.
Will I get lots of homework?
At CBC Belfast we study one subject at a time so that each student is able to really get a hold of the teaching. There are 8 lessons to a class followed by a review. Each student then has the weekend to go over their notes and outlines before a test on the subject.
It's been years since I took a test. Are the tests hard?
No. We find that our students do very well with the academics at CBC also studying one subject is very helpful in getting the teaching on the inside of you.
Why is only 50% of the grade academic?
We really believe that there is more to being a minister than just doing well academically. Ministry hours make up 25% of the grade, the other 25% is given for attendance. Our goal at CBC is to make ministers. Showing up is very important, as is seeing yourself as a minister. Please go to grading for more information.
Do we get an opportunity to go on a mission trip?
We take a mission trip during our 2nd year to another country. Here you will have the opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and minister to people from other cultures having the opportunity to work with an interrupter. Please check out our **photo gallery under missions, also check out our student testimonies for more on the subject of missions.
Is CBC Belfast accredited?
CBC Belfast is not accredited. At the end of the first year full time students receive a certificate of completion. After completion of 2nd year, students get a Graduation Diploma providing they have met all the requirements. Please check out our handbook under the academics page.
Does Andrew Wommack come and teach the courses at the college?
Because of Andrews schedule it is not possible for him to spend long periods of time at CBC Belfast. We do use high quality DVDs to present some of our teaching, this way our students can get teaching from some of the best teachers in the body of Christ. 1st year students have 2 classes a day by DVD, 2nd year students do 1 DVD class per day. All of our other classes are live teaching.
I have heard that you offer 3rd year apprenticeship programme. Can you tell me more about this programme?
This is geared toward students who have graduated from CBC and would like to learn more about the running of the ministry. It is helpful to those who want to step into a leadership role under the supervision of the CBC Belfast director.
